Please read these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy carefully before accessing or using our services. Access to and use of our website and services is conditional upon acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. We may also require you to accept additional terms that apply to specific features or services from time to time.

By accessing or using any part of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services. Any new features, tools, or services added to the website shall also be subject to these Terms and Conditions.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Services

GoCareer provides career coaching, CV writing, LinkedIn optimisation, interview prep, and fully managed job search (Elevate Programme) with 10–20 applications and supporting documents.

Guarantees

Elevate PRO packages include a 60‑Day Interview Guarantee, 6‑Month Job Offer Guarantee, and 12‑Month Job Loss Protection. Guarantees require full Client cooperation (active communication, attending interviews, following advice).

Payments

We accept cards, Stripe/PayPal, and pay-later plans (Clearpay, Klarna). Instalments cover the full fee; missed payments may halt services.

No Refunds

All fees are final once work commences. We do not refund for change of mind or dissatisfaction once services start. Refunds occur only under specific Guarantee terms or as required by law.

Consumer Rights

By purchasing digital or custom services, you consent to immediate performance and waive the 14‑day cancellation period under UK law.

Chargebacks

The Client agrees to contact GoCareer to resolve issues before disputing payments. Unauthorised chargebacks may lead to service suspension and recovery of fees.

Subscriptions (GoCareer Plus)

Subscriptions auto-renew monthly/quarterly until cancelled. Clients may cancel anytime; cancellations apply from next billing cycle. No refunds for partial periods.

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of services by GoCareer Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16197930) with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX (“GoCareer”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
These Terms apply to all users of GoCareer.org, including clients purchasing services, subscriptions, or accessing the GoCareer Elevate Suite platform.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By purchasing or using any services from GoCareer, you (“Client”, “you”, “your”) confirm that you:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Agree to be legally bound by these Terms
  • Agree to provide accurate personal information
  • Understand the scope and limitations of career consultancy services.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use our services or make any purchases.

3. DEFINITIONS

Company

GoCareer Consulting Ltd.

GoCareer.org and any related subdomains.

Services

All career-related services offered by GoCareer.

Client

Any individual purchasing or using services from GoCareer.

Platform

The GoCareer Elevate Suite, the client portal used to manage projects, messaging, documents, and payments.

4. REGULATORY STATUS

GoCareer is a career consulting and advisory service provider.

GoCareer is not:

  • A recruitment agency
  • An employment agency
  • A job placement service

All services are advisory, strategic, and execution-based support services.

5. NATURE OF SERVICES

GoCareer provides career-related services including but not limited to:

  • Career consultations
  • CV and cover letter writing and optimisation
  • LinkedIn profile writing and optimisation
  • Interview coaching and preparation
  • Job search strategy
  • Job market analysis
  • Job application management
  • Done-for-you job applications
  • Networking strategies and outreach support
  • Subscription services (GoCareer Plus)
  • Digital tools and resources
  • The Elevate Programme

6. SERVICE DELIVERY MODEL

GoCareer operates a managed service model, which includes both advisory and execution components.

Clients acknowledge that:

  • Services require active participation and collaboration
  • Outcomes depend on both GoCareer’s work and Client engagement
  • Results are influenced by external market factors beyond GoCareer’s control

Services may be delivered via:

  • Video consultations
  • Written deliverables
  • Email communication
  • The Elevate Suite platform
  • Other messaging systems

Deliverables may include draft and final versions of CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, evidence of application submissions, interview preparation, and strategic guidance.

Clients may collaborate with:

  • Career advisors
  • CV writers
  • Interview coaches
  • Application specialists

Service delivery timelines depend on project complexity, client responsiveness, and market conditions.

Typical first draft delivery timelines may range between 3–5 business days (for certain services) after receiving your information. Final deliverables and application submissions follow promptly after revisions and your approval.

7. CLIENT OBLIGATIONS

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information
  • Respond to communications within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 3 business days)
  • Attend scheduled consultations/interviews
  • Participate reasonably in the job search process
  • Follow agreed strategies
  • Submit any requested documents
  • Review and approve deliverables promptly

Failure to meet these obligations may result in:

  • Service delays
  • Suspension of services
  • Invalidation of guarantees
  • Loss of refund eligibility
  • Review and approve deliverables promptly

If a Client becomes unresponsive for more than 21 days, repeatedly miss meetings, or refuse suitable interviews, GoCareer reserves the right to suspend or terminate the service without refund. Clients who fail to engage may forfeit guarantee eligibility and any claim for refunds.

GoCareer is not responsible for outcomes impacted by:

  • Incomplete client information
  • Delayed responses
  • Refusal to follow advice
  • Inaccurate credentials

8. SERVICE LEVELS AND DELIVERABLES (SLA)

GoCareer will use reasonable endeavours to deliver services in accordance with the following standards:

Initial Deliverables

First drafts of the Client’s CV, LinkedIn profile, and/or initial strategy will be provided within 3–5 business days following completion of onboarding.

Revisions

Revisions will be provided for a reasonable period (typically up to 30 days) following initial delivery, provided that all revision requests fall within the original agreed scope of services.

Response Time

GoCareer will aim to respond to Client communications and support requests within 24 hours on business days.

Ongoing Support

Following initial delivery, GoCareer will remain available to provide guidance on applications and respond to queries until the Programme concludes or any applicable guarantees have been fulfilled.

In the event that GoCareer is unable to meet a stated delivery timeframe for reasons not attributable to the Client, GoCareer will notify the Client as soon as reasonably practicable and will use reasonable endeavours to expedite completion of the affected services. No financial penalties or refunds shall apply in respect of any such delay, and GoCareer’s sole obligation shall be to complete the services as soon as reasonably practicable.

9. GUARANTEES

Some services include guarantees, including those under the Elevate Programme. The Elevate Programme is a structured, managed job search service including strategy, document creation, and application execution.

9.1 60-DAY INTERVIEW GUARANTEE

Where applicable, if the Client does not secure interview invitations within 60 days of completion of the initial deliverables (such period commencing upon delivery of all initial materials and the start of application activity), GoCareer will:

  • Review the Client’s documents
  • Revise materials where necessary
  • Continue providing support at no additional cost

Continued support includes:

  • Document review for a period of up to 180 days
  • Provision of career advice; and
  • Guidance on job markets and application strategies

This is a service continuation guarantee, and does not constitute a refund guarantee.

For the purposes of this clause, ‘application activity’ shall require that Clients who have purchased a CV Writing package apply to no fewer than 10 relevant target roles within the 60-day period. GoCareer reserves the right to request and review reasonable evidence of such applications in order to confirm eligibility.

9.2 JOB OFFER GUARANTEE

Applicable only to Elevate PRO clients (as advertised).

If the Client does not receive a valid job offer within the defined programme period, GoCareer may, at its discretion, offer one of the following remedies:

  • Continued support for up to six (6) months; or
  • A refund, subject to strict eligibility conditions

Continued support shall include:

  • One further revision of final materials (including CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile)
  • Sourcing of relevant target roles for a period of up to 180 days, or until interviews are secured (whichever occurs sooner)
  • Submission of job applications on behalf of the Client for a period of up to 180 days, or until interviews are secured (whichever occurs sooner)
  • Provision of career advice; and
  • Guidance on job markets and application strategies

Role sourcing will typically target between 2–5 suitable opportunities per week; however, this is indicative only and may vary depending on market conditions and other external factors (see Section 10).

Application submissions will typically target between 1–2 applications per week; however, this is indicative only and may vary depending on market conditions and other external factors (see Section 10).

To request a refund, the Client must notify GoCareer in writing within 14 days following the end of the applicable guarantee period. Any refund granted may be full or partial and shall be subject to the terms of this Guarantee and GoCareer’s applicable policies.

9.3 1-YEAR JOB LOSS PROTECTION

If the Client is made redundant within 12 months of securing employment following programme completion, GoCareer will provide renewed support at no additional cost. This may include:

  • Document review for a period of up to 180 days
  • Career and strategy advice
  • Interview preparation

The Client’s employment must terminate involuntarily within 12 months of the first day of employment in that role (e.g. redundancy or organisational restructure). The Client must notify GoCareer in writing within 14 days of their final working day and provide reasonable supporting evidence (e.g. a redundancy letter or P45).

Exclusions:

  • End of fixed-term contracts (unless previously agreed
  • Voluntary resignation
  • Dismissal for misconduct/performance

9.4 GUARANTEE ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

All Guarantees require strict compliance. Failure to satisfy any condition will void the Guarantee. These terms are integrated into our Service Agreement and cannot be unilaterally altered.

To remain eligible, the Client must:

  • Remain fully engaged throughout the Elevate Programme
  • Attend interviews
  • Respond to communications promptly
  • Follow agreed strategy and guidance
  • Participate reasonably in applications and preparation (where applicable)
  • Purchase any additional application services (where applicable) within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 14 days

Guarantees are void if:

  • The Client becomes unresponsive
  • The Client declines suitable opportunities without valid reason
  • The Client provides inaccurate or misleading information
  • External factors (e.g. legal restrictions, visa issues, employer withdrawal) affect outcomes
  • The Client fails to attend scheduled interviews

GoCareer reserves sole discretion in determining eligibility.

If the Client requires additional time to purchase further application services, GoCareer may pause service delivery for a period of up to 90 days. Services will resume upon successful purchase.

10. RESULTS DISCLAIMER

While GoCareer aims to improve employment outcomes, results depend on many external factors including:

  • Market conditions
  • Employer hiring decisions
  • Industry competition
  • Geographic demand
  • Candidate experience and performance

GoCareer does not act as an employer or intermediary in employment contracts and does not guarantee employment (except under our explicit guarantees (Section 9)).

All statistics or success rates displayed on the website are historical performance indicators and do not guarantee future outcomes.

11. PAYMENTS

Payments are processed via secure third-party providers, including:

  • Stripe
  • PayPal
  • Other approved payment processors

Payments may be made via:

  • Full upfront payment
  • Instalment plans
  • Pay-later services (Clearpay, Klarna)

We accept payment via debit and credit cards, Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay, Alipay, and pay-later services. The availability of pay-later services may vary by region. Third-party provider terms and conditions apply.

Where instalment plans are used:

  • The Client remains legally liable for the full contract value

Failure to make payments may result in:

  • Suspension of services
  • Termination of services
  • Debt recovery proceedings

For subscription billing, including GoCareer Plus (see Section 14), the Client authorises GoCareer to charge the selected payment method automatically on a recurring basis (monthly or quarterly, as applicable) until cancellation.

Prices and fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. The Client is responsible for any applicable taxes.

12. REFUND POLICY

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

All sales are final.

Due to the nature of professional consulting and digital services, no refunds shall be permitted once:

  • Work has commenced (e.g. drafting documents, granting access to the Elevate platform, or scheduling coaching calls)
  • Resources have been allocated and committed

Refunds will not be granted for:

  • A change of mind by the Client
  • Delays caused by the Client
  • The Client’s failure to engage or respond to reasonable requests
  • Dissatisfaction not directly attributable to a failure in service delivery
  • Failure to attend scheduled consultations or interviews
  • Any portion of services already delivered, including unused application attempts or consulting hours.

Refund eligibility may arise only:

  • Under specific programme guarantees
  • If we charge you in error (duplicate transaction or unauthorized payment)
  • If a service is legally defective or not as described, we will remedy it (e.g. re-service)
  • Where required by applicable UK law

13. RIGHT TO CANCEL (CONSUMER CONTRACTS REGULATIONS 2013)

Under UK consumer law, consumers typically have a 14-day right to cancel contracts for services entered into at a distance (the “cooling-off period”). By purchasing GoCareer’s digital and/or bespoke services and requesting immediate commencement, the Client:

  • Expressly consents to performance beginning within the cancellation period; and
  • Acknowledges that, where services are fully performed within the 14-day cancellation period, the right to cancel will be lost

Where the Client cancels after requesting early commencement but before the services have been fully performed, GoCareer reserves the right to charge for services supplied up to the point of cancellation, in accordance with applicable law.

13.1 STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude any non-waivable rights the Client may have under applicable UK consumer protection law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where the Client believes they are entitled to a remedy, they must notify GoCareer with reasonable details, and GoCareer will respond in accordance with its legal obligations.

14. SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES (GOCAREER PLUS)

GoCareer Plus is a subscription service providing AI-driven career tools and coaching. Subscription details are as follows:

Billing

The Client may select monthly or quarterly billing. Payments will be charged on a recurring basis via the Client’s selected payment method. Subscriptions will automatically renew at the start of each billing cycle unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

Cancellation

The Client may cancel or change their subscription at any time. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No refunds or credits shall be provided for any unused portion of a billing period. To avoid the next renewal charge, cancellation must be completed prior to the applicable renewal date via the Client’s account or by contacting GoCareer support.

Renewal and Pricing

GoCareer will provide advance notice of any price changes or renewal terms where required by applicable law. Subscription fees may be amended from time to time, with such changes taking effect at the next billing cycle following notice to the Client.

Suspension and Termination

GoCareer reserves the right to suspend or terminate a subscription, without refund, where the Client is in breach of these Terms, including (without limitation) misuse of the service or unauthorised sharing of account credentials.

Access to GoCareer Plus features, including tools and coaching, is conditional upon an active and fully paid subscription. Upon cancellation, non-renewal, or non-payment, access to such features will cease at the end of the applicable billing period.

15. SERVICE DELIVERY AND COMPLETION

A service shall be deemed delivered when any of the following occurs:

  • Documents are provided to the Client
  • Applications are submitted on behalf of the Client
  • Strategy materials or guidance are delivered
  • Access to the platform is granted

Delivery shall apply regardless of whether the Client accesses or uses the deliverables.
A service shall be deemed completed when:

  • GoCareer has delivered the final agreed deliverable or otherwise fulfilled the agreed scope of services; and
  • Such deliverable has been made available to the Client (including, without limitation, via the Elevate platform or email)

Completion shall apply regardless of whether the Client accesses or uses the deliverables. Once a service has been completed, it cannot be unilaterally reversed, and all fees shall be deemed earned. Any corrections, revisions, or extensions requested after completion shall be treated as new services and may incur additional fees.

16. REVISIONS

Certain services include a limited revision period. Where applicable, revision requests must:

  • Be submitted within 30 days of delivery; and
  • Fall within the original agreed scope of services

Any additional revisions or requests falling outside the original scope may be subject to additional fees.

All revision requests are subject to reasonableness and GoCareer’s approval.

17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All materials produced by GoCareer remain its intellectual property until full payment is received.
Upon full payment, Clients are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal-use licence to use the materials for their own job search purposes.

Clients may not:

  • Resell materials
  • Distribute materials
  • Use materials in a commercial or third-party context

18. CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION

GoCareer shall treat all Client information as confidential and shall not disclose such information except:

  • Where required by law; or
  • Where necessary for the provision of services

GoCareer may, upon request, enter into a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the Client where appropriate.

GoCareer Confidential Information

Any proprietary or confidential information disclosed by GoCareer in the course of providing services (including, without limitation, strategy materials and internal processes) shall be treated as confidential and used solely for the Client’s personal use in connection with the services. The Client agrees not to disclose, reproduce, or distribute such information without GoCareer’s prior written consent.

Data Protection and GDPR Compliance

GoCareer complies with applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal data will be processed lawfully, fairly, and only to the extent necessary for the provision of services and legitimate business operations. Further details are set out in the GoCareer Privacy Policy. By engaging GoCareer’s services, the Client acknowledges and agrees to such data processing.

19. PLATFORM USE (ELEVATE SUITE)

The GoCareer Elevate Suite is a secure client portal used for:

  • Communication
  • Document management
  • Project tracking
  • Billing and payments

Clients agree to:

  • Use the platform lawfully
  • Not attempt unauthorised access
  • Not upload harmful or unlawful content
  • Not harass or abuse staff through the platform

GoCareer reserves the right to suspend access for misuse.

Clients retain responsibility for the security of their login credentials.

Platform records (messages, timestamps, deliverable approvals) are maintained and may be used as evidence in any dispute.

20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, GoCareer shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of employment
  • Loss of income, business, contracts, or reputation
  • Missed opportunities
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • Business interruption or loss of data

Total liability is limited to (shall not exceed) the amount paid by the Client for the relevant service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability which cannot be excluded by law

21. INDEMNIFICATION

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GoCareer from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Inaccurate or fraudulent information provided by the Client
  • Misuse of deliverables or services
  • Breach of these Terms

22. CHARGEBACKS AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

The Client agrees to contact GoCareer in good faith to seek resolution of any dispute before initiating:

  • Chargebacks
  • Payment disputes; or
  • Legal proceedings

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first attempting to resolve the matter with GoCareer may constitute a breach of these Terms.

Where a chargeback, payment dispute, or claim is initiated with a bank, payment provider, or other third party without prior engagement with GoCareer, GoCareer reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate all services;
  • Submit evidence of service delivery to the relevant provider;
  • Recover any outstanding amounts, including applicable chargeback or administrative fees; and
  • Pursue recovery of any reasonable costs and expenses (including legal fees) incurred as a result of the dispute

Evidence of service delivery may include, without limitation:

  • Platform records
  • Communication logs
  • Delivered documents
  • Application records

23. SERVICE RECORDS AND EVIDENCE

The Client acknowledges and agrees that GoCareer maintains records of service delivery, communications, and platform activity for operational, legal, and compliance purposes.
Such records may include, but are not limited to:

  • Messages exchanged via the GoCareer platform
  • Emails and written correspondence
  • Consultation notes and call summaries
  • Submitted documents and deliverables
    Application activity and job search actions

The Client expressly agrees that:

  • These records constitute an accurate record of interactions between the Client and GoCareer; and
  • Such records may be relied upon by GoCareer as evidence of service delivery, Client engagement, and fulfilment of contractual obligations

To the extent permitted by law, such records shall be admissible in:

  • Payment disputes
  • Chargeback proceedings
  • Complaints and regulatory enquiries
  • Legal proceedings

24. FORCE MAJEURE

GoCareer shall not be liable for any delay or failure in the performance of its obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, labour disputes, or failures of utilities or technology (including internet outages).

In such circumstances, GoCareer shall notify the Client as soon as reasonably practicable and shall use reasonable endeavours to resume performance of the affected services as soon as practicable.

25. TERMINATION OF SERVICES

GoCareer reserves the right to suspend or terminate the provision of services, at its discretion, where the Client:

  • Breaches these Terms;
  • Fails to make payments when due;
  • Engages in abusive, inappropriate, or unlawful behaviour; or
  • Initiates unauthorised chargebacks or payment disputes

Upon termination, no refunds shall be issued, and all outstanding fees shall become immediately due and payable.

GoCareer reserves the right to remove or delete Client project data and revoke access to any platforms or portals following termination or a period of inactivity, subject to a minimum retention period of 30 days.

26. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

GoCareer may utilise third-party platforms, tools, and service providers in the course of delivering its services, including but not limited to payment processors, communication tools, and career-related software.

GoCareer shall not be responsible or liable for the performance, availability, or functionality of any third-party services. This includes, without limitation:

  • Service interruptions or failures of third-party platforms;
  • Technical issues, outages, or changes to external systems; or
  • Any acts or omissions of third-party providers

Use of third-party services may be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant provider, which the Client agrees to comply with where applicable.

27. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between GoCareer and the Client and supersede all prior agreements.

28. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
